LED Roadway Lighting (LRL), based in Amherst, will produce and deliver the LED luminaires.

Currently, the company has over 250 utility and municipal deployments in 10 nations. He further said that the Nova Scotia project would demonstrate the company’s innovative technology to the world.

Donald Hiltz, Black and McDonald’s Division Manager, said that the company is happy to play a central role in Nova Scotia’s LED lighting project that is aimed to decrease the operating expenditures of the province. Utilizing locally-produced lighting solutions also benefits local workers, he added.
