PowerSecure Receives Business Awards for LED Lighting and Smart Grid Power Systems

PowerSecure International, provider of energy and smart grid solutions, has obtained new awards worth $10 million for its LED lighting products and Interactive Distributed Generation (IDG) smart grid power solutions.

The IDG System awards, worth $7 million, include installations for various customers such as retailers, educational facilities, municipal water systems, and hospitals. The $3 million LED lighting awards comprise an order from a top U.S. retailer to retrofit refrigerated cases with EfficientLights fixtures.

PowerSecure’s turnkey product sales of LED lighting products and IDG Systems are valued at $8 million. The other $2 million relate to IDG systems’ recurring revenue contracts. The devices are expected to be deployed in the first half of 2011.

PowerSecure’s Chief Executive Officer, Sidney Hinton stated that the company is delighted to announce the business awards for the LED lighting products and IDG Systems. He added that the IDG System sales incorporate a combination of recurring revenue business and turnkey solutions, with deployments for various customers.
