Power Integrations Unveils LinkSwitch-PH LED Driver ICs for Lighting Applications

Supplier of high-voltage analog ICs, Power Integrations has launched seven new additions to the LinkSwitch-PH LED driver ICs. The LNK413-LNK419 LED drivers are ideal for commercial and industrial environments that necessitate increased durability and efficacy.

The LinkSwitch-PH devices are useful for lighting applications including 55 W replacements and 3 W bulbs for fluorescent lighting fixtures. The LED driver ICs can deliver maximum efficacy of 88% and include a PWM-dimmable single-stage controller that has precise constant current (CC) power conversion and power factor correction (PFC) feature. The combined CC and PFC features enable many drivers to be linked parallel to operate street and exterior area lights with functional redundancy.

The driver ICs include a MOSFET driver, 725 V MOSFET and the PFC/CC controller in a single unit, thereby reducing design and layout and removing parasitic elements in the MOSFET and controller. In addition, the devices offer reliability and cost-effectiveness by removing a maximum of 25 extra components utilized in conventional isolated flyback designs.
