LK Development to Open LED Lighting Assembly Plant in Taurage, Lithuania

South Korean-based company, LK Development has announced that it will unveil a new LED lighting assembly plant in Taurage, Lithuania.

The company and the Taurage district municipality have entered into a letter of intent regarding future investments.

LK Development will inaugurate the lighting plant in spring and plans to generate more than 100 jobs. Some of the LED lamps manufactured in Taurage will be kept in Lithuania. The company will export the remaining LED lamps to Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Western markets. In addition, the company aims to employ about 130 people in its plant. The investment involved in the lighting plant is worth about 4.34 million euros.
