Edimax Selects BroadLight’s GPON Processors for New Product Deployment

Supplier of advanced fiber access processors, BroadLight has declared that its third-generation Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) processor range, BL23500, has been selected by Edimax Technology.

Edimax will use the BL23500 for new product deployment. The company plans to use the processor for a number of GPON applications, specifically on GPON RGW. The company will use its R&D design expertise and the BL23500 GPON processors to strengthen its stand in the TELCO market.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Edimax, Gene Renn commented that the company has brought its solutions to the marketplace in a relatively shorter time, which is mainly because of the BroadLight processors.

The Vice President of Sales of Asia Pacific at BroadLight, Abbie Kwan stated that the company has always supplied the products on time and Edimax’s processors will enable it to supply the equipment for future GPON products.
