Matrix Lighting Showcases UL-Approved-T8 LED Tubes at Greenbuild Expo Trade Show

Matrix Lighting has received the UL approval for the VIRIBRIGHT T8 LED tubes. The company has exhibited the T8 and 5W LED lights at the 2010 Greenbuild Expo Trade Show in Chicago, by highlighting the aspects of environment-friendly design and building.

The VIRIBRIGHT LED lamps serve as an eco-friendly lighting option compared to typical CFL and incandescent bulbs. The light bulbs offer a light output of 270° with a durability of above 6 years when used at an average of 8 hrs per day for 18,000 hrs. The LED lights provide crisp, fine, energy-efficient, mercury free light for the environment.

The LED lights consume 50% less energy compared to CFLs, and 80% to 90% less energy compared to an incandescent bulb, thereby minimizing power consumption. In addition, the VIRIBRIGHT LED lamps produce less heat and convert the major portion of energy into light, thus removing excessive heat buildup.
