JVC Professional Products announced that Columbia College Chicago’s Department of Film & Video has procured six DLA-RS35U Reference Series projectors.
The projectors will be utilized in the university’s screening rooms. The purchase will help in standardizing the presentation workflow for the faculties, who utilize the screening rooms for various classes.
The DLA-RS35U projector delivers a brightness of 900 lm and a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The projector also offers RS-232 terminals, S-Video, composite, component, and two HDMI inputs. It supports various video signals such as 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. The DLA-RS35U projector features motorized vertical and horizontal lens shift, in addition to a 2x zoom lens with a 16-step aperture.
The Department of Film & Video’s Technical Operations Manager, Charles Celander stated that the projector’s 70000:1 contrast ratio is crucial for faculties who are required to analyze the quality of student footage. He added that the department chose the DLA-RS35U projector as it offered superior image quality.
