MAC 350 Entour Lighting Fixtures Utilize Luminus’ CBT-90 White PhlatLight LEDs

Developer of PhlatLight LEDs, Luminus Devices announced that the CBT-90 white PhlatLight LEDs are being utilized inside the MAC 350 Entour lighting fixtures of Martin Professional.

The MAC 350 Entour lighting fixture is an LED alternative to the conventional profile fixtures that are high intensity discharge (HID)-based. It surpasses the conventional 300 W fixtures in brightness. The fixture features seven CBT-90 white PhlatLight LEDs. The MAC 350 has a lifetime of over 25,000 hr, and has a light output of 8000 lm. These lighting levels were earlier obtained only by using high energy discharge lamps.

The MAC 350 Entour is ideal for places requiring high-brightness, such as cruise ships, ballrooms, night clubs, education facilities, sporting arenas, TV studios, and other event and touring environments. Profile lights have, until now, utilized conventional HID lamps that have only 3,000 hr of lifespan, contain mercury, and are expensive to replace.

Martin’s Product Manager, Peter Skytte stated that the MAC 350 Entour fixture is a long-lasting and an affordable alternative to HID fixtures. Luminus allows the company to develop advanced lighting solutions that are ideal for entertainment environments, he added.

Luminus’ Director of global entertainment, Don McDaniel commented that the PhlatLight LEDs allow Martin to build lighting fixtures that are brighter and inexpensive, when compared to the conventional lighting solutions.
