Bedding and home furnishing retailer, The Furniture Row Companies, has installed Cree’s LRP-38 LED spotlights in its specialty furniture showrooms across the U.S. The specialty furniture stores include Denver Mattress Company, Bedroom Expressions, Oak Express and 330 Sofa Mart.
LRP-38 LED Spotlight
Cree develops LED lighting systems and semiconductors for wireless and backlighting applications. Approximately 13,000 Cree LRP-38 LED lights have been deployed. The 11 W Cree LED lights are being used to replace 90 W halogen lights.
The Planning Coordinator of Furniture Row store, Rod Schnurr stated that the shopping center installed Cree LED lightings and saved as much as $4,200 every month when compared to the original lighting system. The Cree LRP-38 spotlights reduce heat output and save air conditioning expenses. The company is also looking forward to reduce maintenance expenditures as the LED lights are durable and offer a lamp life of 50,000 h, Schnurr said.
Cree LED Lighting’s Director of National Accounts, Craig Lofton informed that the LRP-38 LED spotlight is ideal for retail settings as it is long-lasting and energy-efficient and does not compromise on the quality of light required to light up the products.
