New AireBeam Z60 Wave Radio Solution Complies with Latest ETSI Specifications

Developer of wireless outdoor bridging solutions, LightPointe has introduced the new 60 GHz Millimeter Wave (MMW) wave radio solution that complies with the latest ETSI specifications. The AireBeam Z60 solution is available in various European countries such as Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, for unlicensed operation.

The AireBeam Z60 wave radio solution functions in frequency bandwidth ranging from 59 - 63 GHz. It functions at 1.6 Gbps over-the-air data rate, allowing full duplex Ethernet traffic transport at a maximum of 635 Mbps. It offers a GigE RJ-45 port and a GbE SFP optical fiber port for network connection. The Z60 MMW solution can be powered by using either a 48 Vdc power feed, or a Cat5/6 Power-over-Ethernet connection.

The AireBeam Z60 targets various outdoor networking applications in the 3G/4G Mobile Wireless Network, Metro Ethernet, and the Enterprise Campus market sectors, because of its high latency and bandwidth. It is offered with an integrated Web browser agent, and provides advanced features such as convenient mounting options, and signal strength bar graph LED.

The Chief Executive Officer of LightPointe, Heinz Willebrand stated that the MMW solution would resolve backhaul challenges faced by Mobile Wireless Operators, and the building connectivity problems faced in the enterprise campus sector.
