BIO-key Awarded New Contract to Provide Fingerprint Biometric Solutions

Developer of biometric identification solutions, BIO-key International, announced that it has won a new contract for a fingerprint biometric identification solution, which will be developed by combining MorphoTrak and BIO-key algorithms.

Lockheed Martin had awarded the first contract for this solution to MorphoTrak in September 2009. The first contract was to offer fingerprint identification solution to the Next Generation Identification system of the FBI. The latest contract will offer large-scale finger matching technology for a foreign customer.

The Chief Executive Officer of Bio-Key, Mike DePasquale, stated that the new contract for the fingerprint identity solution justifies the position of the company as a leading supplier of the most reliable fingerprint matching technology.

MorphoTrak’s Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Vassy, commented that the company is delighted to deploy the fingerprint biometric solution once again for an identification program. He added that the new contract enhances their position in offering biometric identification systems to various local and federal government agencies all over the world.
