New 1920 nm Microchip Laser from RPMC

Advanced DPSS laser provider, RPMC, has launched a new, compact 1920 nm microchip laser for LIDAR and bioinstrumentation applications. The microchip laser is specifically designed for those applications requiring high water absorption.

RPMC FP-2 Package

The 1920 nm laser delivers 2 µj pulse energies with less than 20 ns pulses at repetition rates ranging from 1 to 50 kHz. The 1920 nm laser, with an M2 less than 1.3, can be utilized for coupling or direct lighting via a fiber, which in turn can be integrated into the units for laboratory, field and other application purposes.

The FP-3 and FP-2 packages also come with 473, 532, 946, 1029 and 1064 nm wavelengths. The FP-2 package provides an average power of 100 mW to 200 mW with 20uJ energy at 1064 nm wavelength. The laser provides high peak-power and sub-nanosecond pulses.

In addition to LIDAR and bioinstrumentation applications, the 1920 nm lasers can also be used for coding, marking and range finding applications.
