Future Lighting Solutions has enhanced its Lighting Resource Centers (LRCs) for LED lighting designers by investing in state-of-the-art equipment, expanding the workspace, and adding dedicated thermal, optical and electronics engineers. The centers, located in Montreal, Canada, and Shenzhen, China, provide services that help customers reduce the time and expense of implementing LED designs.

Canadian Patent Office Issues Notice of Allowance to Zecotek for LFS Scintillation Material

Zecotek Photonics Inc. today announced that the Canadian Patent Office has issued Notice of Allowance to Zecotek Imaging Systems Singapore Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary, for its LFS scintillation material. This application is identical to the LFS scintillation applications that have been issued or allowed in the U.S., Russia, China, Europe and Japan.

ITT Awarded $153 Million U.S. Army Contract for Night Vision Monoculars

ITT Corporation today announced that its Night Vision business was awarded an order from the U.S. Army Research, Development + Engineering Command Acquisition Center for the AN/PVS-14 night vision monocular. This order for ITT’s most versatile night vision unit is valued at $153 million and is the latest under the Omnibus VII contract awarded by the U.S. Army in September 2005.
