Dialight has announced that its Sales and Marketing Director, Jim Pinelli, will give a presentation on the LED technology’s advantages for the street lighting appliances at the InterContinental Dallas, Dallas, TX during the IMSA International 115th Annual Conference and Technology Expo.
The session titled “Demystifying LED Street Lighting Technology for Municipalities and Utilities Across the Country,” will be offering an overview of the LED technology and its use in street lighting. Pinelli will be suggesting certain norms to consider while users substitute the traditional fixtures with LED streetlights.
The presentation will focus on the positive features of LED street lighting applications and energy-efficient optics. These lighting applications and optics are IDA Dark Sky compliant lighting fixtures and are resistant to corrosion, vibration and shock. The LED fixtures minimize light pollution and provide enhanced wind loading properties.
Pinelli noted that the energy-efficient, long-life LEDs are perfectly suited for streetlight applications. The LEDs lessen the maintenance and operating costs and offers better light quality than the traditional light sources. Pinelli added that the LEDs’ benefits have made the utility companies and municipalities to deploy LED fixtures as a trial and the U.S. Department of Energy to carry out Gateway studies globally.
