NEC Display Solutions of America announced that it has added the 42-inch V421 to its V series LCD displays and projectors. The V421 is suitable for restaurants, supermarkets and conference rooms.
The V421 LCD display has a 1920x1080-display resolution and a contrast ratio of 1300:1. Users can connect various secondary devices to the V421 as it accepts various kinds of inputs such as HDMI, DVI-D, 15-pin D-sub in/out and 5 BNC. By using the Ethernet port, the V421 display can also be controlled and remotely monitored.
The display of the V421 is touch-panel ready and made of protective glass to encourage interactivity and reduce damage. Advanced scheduling of content is possible with real-time scheduler that saves both energy and time. In addition to these features, the display also has an advanced fan-based technology, which eliminates overheating and guards against permanent image retention. The V421 LCD display is also ENERGY STAR 5.0 compliant and Windows Vista certified.
NEC Display’s Product Manager, Luke Bruschuk, stated that the V421 LCD display is highly reliable and cost effective. He further commented that the V Series would be efficient in areas where static display is no longer efficient.
