Viking Systems announced that its advanced 3DHD visualization system was recently showcased at the European Congress of Laparoscopy and Robotics. The Chairman and Professor of Medical University Salzburg, Dr. Gunter Janetschek, gave the presentation.
Dr. Janetschek discussed the latest developments and potential future of medical technology utilized in minimally invasive urologic procedure. The discussion also highlighted the possible role of the 3DHD vision system in medical applications.
The European Congress of Laparoscopy and Robotics highlights the latest technological developments, communication and education to promote awareness of ongoing clinical activities and research related to robotics and laparoscopy procedures as they are related to the urological surgical procedure.
Viking Systems’ President and Chief Executive Officer, Jed Kennedy, stated that it was an honor for the company to be included in the presentation, and was delighted to provide the 3DHD visualization system for the occasion. He added that the company has planned to provide advanced 3D vision systems in a flexible and a cost effective format for the healthcare sector. The systems can promote better quality and reduce procedure time and cost, he said.
