Bridgelux’s LED Array Lighting Systems Receive UL Certification

Leading developer of LED lighting solutions, Bridgelux, has received the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Recognition for its LED lighting product portfolio that includes the ES, LS and RS lighting products.

The certification makes it possible to secure the UL Listed status for those lamps and luminaries that are built with Bridgelux Arrays. The UL status will also eliminate the LED evaluation process and speed up the introduction of new LED light sources into the market.

Bridgelux provides a variety of solid-state lighting products that deliver 240-4500 lm across a wide color temperature range. Bridgelux’s lighting products offer a number of options for customers through advanced and efficient replacement lighting products.

Bridgelux’s Vice President of Marketing, Jason Posselt, said that LED lighting manufacturers are looking for UL Listing status to distribute their lighting products in the U.S. market. He added that by utilizing the company’s Arrays, customers can easily design and develop the products and can also significantly reduce the approval process of their products.

UL Lighting Business Manager, Doug Lockard, stated that the company is delighted to work with Bridgelux on the LED Arrays’ certification process. He added that the company’s component certification program minimizes the end-product certification expenditure, and accelerates the marketing time for lighting manufacturers by removing superfluous testing of commercial LED lighting products. The certification program also enables the manufacturers to recognize the pre-approved products, which conform to the required safety requirements and helps in speeding up the UL Listing process.
