A leading specialist in flexible packaging sector, LPS Industries, has completed the rooftop installation of the largest Solyndra solar panel system in the U.S. The 704.34 kW solar panel will supply one-fourth of the power to the LPS manufacturing plant and will enable the company to implement sustainable manufacturing practices while bringing down energy consumption.
The installation comprises 3,870 Solyndra solar panels that generate more than 825,000 kWh of power and will help in bringing down CO2 emissions. The solar system was installed along with a white cool roof system. The finance and logistics phase of the project was handled by Solis Partners and Allied Building Products. PSE&G Solar Loan program had partially financed the project.
Solis Partners possess a deep knowledge about federal and local incentives and collaborated with Allied Building Products, LPS and PSE&G to produce low-cost solar panels.
LPS Industries’ Chief Executive Officer, Madeleine Robinson, stated that the company has been searching for a unique solar panel that would significantly reduce their operation costs She added that the Solyndra solar panel proved to be an ideal solution since it offers exceptional wind performance and delivers superior energy production.
Solis Partners’ Jamie Hahn reiterated that LPS utilized the available incentives to adopt sustainable operations and reduce energy costs and the Solyndra solar panel proved to be a perfect choice.
