Millry Telephone Chooses ADTRAN Solutions for FTTN Deployment

ADTRAN, a provider of futuristic networking solutions, has announced that Alabama-based Millry Telephone has selected the Total Access 1124P and the Total Access 5000 MSAP (Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform) solutions for its FTTN (Fiber-to-the-node) deployments.

ADTRAN's Total Access 5000 Multi-Service Access and Aggregation Platform

Millry Telephone’s Director of Engineering, Gene Brown said that they were challenged to meet the requirements of increasing bandwidth demand, when seeking a cost-effective solution for network migration. They selected ADTRAN after assessing all available solutions. The company will now be able to push fiber into their networks deeply for delivering high bandwidth services, he noted.

Total Access 1124P platform acts as the node for data and voice services in the Total Access 5000 network. The solution decreases installation costs considerably, as it does not need concrete pad and related installation equipment such as cranes and cabinets. The platform enables the network to be used for core connectivity and transport, if deployed together with the Total Access 5000.
