SSA will deploy the MFPs, color printers and monochrome printers in its 1,500 locations in the U.S. and other parts of the world for general office printing needs. The deal covers a five-year warranty on the printers and MFPs as well as on the related accessories and supplies. SSA selected Lexmark’s products as they matched its technical requirements. These products have been recognized as the most accessible for those who have disabilities. Lexmark MFPs and printers allow users to perform e-mail, scan, copy, ftp and fax directly from their computer, instead from the product’s touch screen display. Moreover, the products can be augmented easily with other devices such as screen readers and screen magnifiers.

Lexmark’s vice president Marty Canning said that the five-year BPA enforces their capabilities in meeting requirements. Canning, who is also the president of Printing Solutions and Services unit of the company, expressed their pleasure to support SSA in offering important services to the people.
