By establishing a sturdy network with physicians, the company had increased the distribution of the Erchonia’s Zerona laser device in the last year. Currently, about 600 Zerona non-invasive lasers are put into practice across North America. This success is partially attributed to the ZERO investment model of SBMI, under which the medical professionals can acquire the device by paying a small amount of start-up fee with no capital investment. The model fetched double-digit growth for the company during the first quarter.

As per the physician records, the Zerona device helped patients to lose 4.1 inches from waists, thighs and hips on average in a period of two weeks. This number exceeds the average result of 3.64 inches reported from the multi-site randomized, double-blind clinical trials.

The CEO and founder of SBMI, Chip Conk said that Zerona’s success exceeded their expectations, and the combination of demand for non-invasive methods and the new business model continues to work well. Further, the company has launched a nationwide integrated marketing campaign involving various media to increase the brand awareness.
