Innovative Solutions Integrative Systems (“ISIS”), LLC, has announced a breakthrough biometric verification solution—the Immigration Customer Visa (ICV) card—that will be a powerful tool in helping the United States to secure its borders.
The new patent pending ICV card and software component offers an innovative, state of the art solution featuring an embedded fingerprint scanner that authenticates an individual and their authorized entry within the United States borders.
ISIS is an affiliate of the Miami-based Isaac Daniel Group, Inc., one of the country’s foremost technology companies.
About the size of a credit card, the ICV card provides a real-time solution where the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is readily notified of individuals who have extended their visa stay without proper authorization.
The secure ICV card, which may be used instead of the current I-94 immigration form, easily and seamlessly integrates into existing DHS infrastructure. The card remains compliant with applicable statutes, regulations and international treaties while accurately registering visitors’ arrival and departure at all air, sea and land port of entry (POE).
Also available for use at drive through points of entry or exit, the ICV card accurately captures the individual’s biometric identification information even if there are multiple ICV cards within a vehicle. This provides a biometric land exit solution with minimal impact on the traffic flow at all entrance and exit points.
DHS faces major challenges in processing the large volume of immigrants, aliens and visitors who have extended their stay beyond the expiration of their visas, resulting in significant delays in implementing corrective procedures. As such, the current system is prone to error and backlogs as it must account for more than 50 million visitors annually within the United States.
“This is a major step in securing our borders,” said Isaac Daniel, engineer/inventor and Chairman of the Isaac Daniel Group, Inc. “By using the ICV card as part of the system we have implemented, the US government will be immediately alerted when someone overstays his or her visa. This is the first key step in security.”
