New Firm in Healdsburg, California Launches First Product, Solectric Skylight System

RenCon Energy Products, a startup in Healdsburg, CA is designing and manufacturing LED and Solar products for home and commercial applications. The first product released is the Solectric Skylight System.

The Solectric Skylight System is a patent pending day-lighting system. Unlike conventional skylights, this system allows homeowners to bring daylight indoors, without cutting a large hole in their roof. The ease and flexibility of installation is proving to be appealing to home and business owners.

The Electronic Skylight utilizes a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel and one or more high efficiency LED light sources which are connected to simulate the light producing effect of a skylight. In the early morning hours when the sun is low in the sky the PV panel produces a low current, which corresponds with a low light level output from the LED lights. As the sun moves higher in the sky the current from the PV panel increases and so does the light output from the lights.

In December of this year, RenCon will release an LED recessed lighting option to be used in conjunction with the Solectric platform. The recessed option will also be able to connect directly to the homes AC line.

RenCon will also produce LED Strip Lighting to be used in commercial settings.
