Modernising Justice 2014: Advanced Laser Imaging to Demonstrate Crime Scene Reconstruction Technology

The 3D virtual crime scene environments created by Advanced Laser Imaging’s technology are helping to make the criminal justice system faster, more effective and more efficient.

A world leader in the use of laser scanning and photogrammetry techniques for Policing, Advanced Laser Imaging has capability that has been proven in a number of high profile cases. Fully accepted by UK courts and inquests, the virtual environments created enable everyone involved – lawyers, juries and witnesses – to examine crime scenes in highly accurate detail, allowing the veracity of witness statements to be tested and significantly reducing the need and costs of taking forensics experts and juries to the physical location.

In addition to significantly reducing the cost of criminal proceedings, Advanced Laser Imaging’s immersive environments, by removing ambiguity, are helping to make it more certain that the right outcome in criminal cases is achieved as well as encouraging earlier guilty pleas.

Advanced Laser Imaging will be demonstrating the full capabilities of its technology at Modernising Justice 2014 on Stand 2 at the QE11 Conference Centre in London on 24th June.

Paul Snudden, Advanced Laser Imaging’s Chief Executive, commented: “We’re delighted that our virtual 3D environments are able to have such a transformative effect on criminal justice proceedings. ‘Modernising Justice 2014’ will provide us with an excellent platform to further demonstrate the wide range of benefits that our accurate crime scene reconstructions can bring.”
