The Call for Papers for "Strategies in Light Europe 2014 – Exploring the New Horizons of Lighting", which will take place on October 21-23 at the M.O.C. Event Center in Munich, Germany, is now open.
Strategies in Light Europe is in its 5th year of providing Europe’s most comprehensive conference and exhibition for the applications and technology of solid-state lighting. The event brings together designers, technologists, marketers, and financiers. It offers a platform for the best networking opportunities and a forum for the sharing of ideas and experiences in the latest technologies and market developments.
The 2014 program will include: Keynote and Plenary Sessions, Lighting Market and Applications Track, Technology Issues and Trends Track, pre-conference workshops, and the Investor Forum. Abstracts will be selected by the conference Advisory Board and co-chairs on the basis of information content, audience interest and industry relevance.
We are seeking presentations that deal with the critical issues regarding the future adoption of LED lighting, whether market and applications-related or technology-related. Presentations that address the opportunities, market drivers and barriers for the adoption of LED lighting in specific market sectors are welcomed. However, we are also seeking presentations that address cross-cutting issues that affect all application segments.
As the participation of governments, lighting associations and financial institutions will impact market development, we welcome presentations that address the role of these organizations. We are also seeking presentations that explore the impact of technology development on the growth of the SSL market, as well as technical issues associated with the application of LED lighting.
Workshops are designed to address topics of focused interest that can be discussed in more detail than in a general conference session. For workshops we are particularly interested in cutting-edge topics and emerging issues that invite audience participation and discussion, as well as those that provide detailed practical information.
The Investor Forum provides a unique platform for collaboration among innovators, public companies, the design community, and the financial community that is involved in the SSL industry. Startups with disruptive technologies and products applicable to the lighting industry are welcome to apply to present.
Abstracts should be submitted by March 7 via the online form which can be found on the Strategies in Light Europe website, www.sileurope.com. A detailed listing of themes and topics of most interest to the conference planners is also provided.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this unique event that brings together designers, technologists, marketers, financiers, and leading manufacturers of led lighting.
