Carl Zeiss introduces the new Axio Lab.A1 microscope. The Axio Lab.A1 is now available for use in polarization microscopy, and is particularly suitable for requirements in student education and routine laboratories.
This upright microscope suits colleges and universities, research institutes in the fields of the geosciences and mineralogy, and in the Oil exploration industry. Axio Lab.A1 for polarization permits microscopic examinations of primarily thin geological and mineralogical specimens of glass and polymer samples.
This microscope features rapid, reliable switching from orthoscopy to conoscopy. The new stand for conoscopic examinations includes an integrated depolarizer and a rotary analyzer. The focusable Bertrand lens placed on the stand is linked to the analyzer, allowing excellent operating convenience and error-free use.
A further benefit is the transmitted light illumination, featuring a high performance 35 watt halogen bulb. The 4x centerable objective turret serves for bright field and polarization. Numerous tubes and various accessories such as compensators make Axio Lab.A1 extremely flexible. The 22 millimeter field of view offers the user optimal visibility of the sample, also making the system ideal for more advanced examination methods. This ergonomic, compact design offers, intuitive operation as a benefit for training and education.
The microscope system can be used with traditional cameras, cameras in the AxioCam line, AxioVision image processing software and especially with the attractively-priced AxioCam ERc 5s.
