Cree, a provider of LED lighting, has declared the launch of the MT-G2 LED. It is the first EasyWhite LED array to be constructed on the SC³ Technology Platform. The new XLamp MT-G2 LEDs are capable of generating 25% more brightness than the previous MT-G, through which an extensive range of high lumen applications can be achieved.
Designed for high-output, directional lighting applications, these MT-G2 LEDs can be ideally used instead of inefficient halogen lamps. In addition, these MT-G2 LEDs can be customized for lighting application in accent, down lighting, track, lamp retrofit, and for various other applications entailing optical control, color quality, and consistency.
The MT-G2 LED is based on Cree EasyWhite Technology and generates up to 2100 lm in warm white (3000K) at 25 W at 85°C, presenting an advanced optical control and excellent color consistency. The new, brilliant MT-G2 LED has an equivalent footprint as that of the original MT-G LED, giving rise to several modifications with better customer time-to-market. For a simplified design and an improved filament appearance, the MT-G2 LED can be used as a single component in an LED design.
Based on Cree’s revolutionary SC³ Technology Platform, the MT-G2 LED complements XT-E High-Voltage, XB-D, XT-E, and XM-L High-Voltage LEDs. The MT-G2 LED has an 8.9x 8.9 mm footprint. It is being offered in 2- and 4-step EasyWhite color temperature ranges from 2700K to 5000K. With minimum 80 and 90 CRI options, the new LEDs contain multiple voltage selections such as increased voltages that support compact and more efficient drivers to have reduced system cost.
Cree’s new XLamp MT-G2 will be showcased at Light+Building 2012 as well as at Lightfair International.
