Adura Technologies, an acclaimed supplier of energy management systems and wireless lighting controls, is participating in Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s (SMUD) Advanced Lighting Controls (ALC) Incentive Program to enhance commercial energy conservation.
With the launch of this program, the firms in the Sacramento region will adopt lighting controls and therefore experience 50% - 70% energy conservation.
The incentive will be effective from February 1, 2012, benefiting a range of Sacramento-area businesses. The lighting controls system will be available for commercial customers who accomplish successful project achievement by February 1, 2013. Around $1M is being offered by this pilot program for energy efficiency incentives at $0.30 per kWh that amounts to $100,000 or 80% conservation of the total cost of the project. The ALC program is financially supported by a US Department of Energy Smart Grid Infrastructure Grant, through SMUD.
Adura CEO, Mark Golan said that as a pioneer in lighting control technology, the company is further being inspired by advanced organization like SMUD. With municipalities and other companies related to government services consistently serving the public, Adura also anticipates serving its customers with its innovative wireless lighting controls.
Adura was involved in two of SMUD’s earlier pilot programs that employed Adura's Wireless Lighting Control System along with LED lights. This combined operation facilitated the conservation of lighting energy, around 53% for each customer.
According to the Project Manager of SMUD's Customer Advanced Technology Program, Dave Bisbee, advanced lighting controls and other technologies by SMUD encourages customers to experience energy-efficient lighting.
