The history of LED Lenser is motivating and seems to be a genuine entrepreneurship. In 1993, the bank declined from providing business loan to the twin brothers Rainer and Harald Opolka , who were left without a real estate to offer as security but had only fresh ideas and a sample of the first LED Lenser V8 flashlight. Despite the disappointments, they set forth independently in 1994 in Germany, in their garage with a sketch book 1,000 DM, toolbox and an old Atari computer and invented the LED Lenser. This new invention owes to the dedication and courage of these two young, energetic entrepreneurs, who managed their business without any support from the bank. Surprisingly, in the first five years the market for LED flashlights ascended to be worth 200M €. Currently, the V8 is a universal design model and one of the highly marketed LED flashlights universally.
SportHiTech has received many awards and patents and employs more than 1000 workers, owns three manufacturing bases and a series of quality LED flashlights, with the invention of the LED Lenser adding to its achievement.
