Mindspeed, a semiconductor solutions provider for network infrastructure applications, has decided to display a comprehensive series of end-to-end fiber-optic physical media devices (PMD) at the China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE) from 6 to 9 September.
Mindspeed will display a range of products at CIOE, including a novel, 1.25 Gbps transimpedance amplifier (TIA) in burst mode for central-office-side optical line termination (OLT) device in Gigabit Ethernet PON (GEPON) applications. The company’s M02038 TIA can be operated with M02052 burst mode post amplifier as a total OLT module. Mindspeed also provides superior-sensitivity continuous-mode 1.25 Gbps TIA, M02028 that can be operated with the existing burst mode laser driver, M02098, for subscriber-side optical networking unit (ONU) device.
Mindspeed will present a detailed demonstration for 10 Gb Ethernet PON (10G-EPON) applications, including its M02170 burst-mode laser driver for ONU device, M02172 modulator laser driver for OLT device and M02138 burst mode TIA. Mindspeed’s M02142 post-amplifier is integrated with every chipset to develop a total solution on both sides of the link.
To ensure cost-effectiveness, TIAs and other PMDs of the company can be employed in a small form factor pluggable (SFP) or small form factor (SFF) optical transceiver, or with a bi-directional optical sub-assembly (BOSA) that can be directly placed over the board.
