Proquip International has introduced the MaxSUN series of solar lighting systems that deliver optimal performance and predictable operation. The MaxSUN features a PQMax charge and lighting controller that offers circuit protection at multi-levels and a lifespan of 20 years.
The lighting controller also has an advanced MPPT technology to increase energy production at all levels and a 20A charge current to support large-scale solar panels. The lighting profiles can be completely programmed to fit any system size or lighting requirements. The controller incorporates an array of input voltages that support large-scale lighting solutions. It has a Windows configuration management and information downloadable tool that can be accessed through a USB interface. The controller offers data logging to reduce downtime and deliver rapid diagnostics.
MaxSUN luminaries combine advanced LED technology and PQSmart-M LED Driver to attain system-level efficiencies of about 100 lm/W. The PQSmart-I driver, with inbuilt temperature and charge-level monitor and motion detection, can be combined with PWM charge controllers and better performing light engines to provide a cost-saving lighting solution for travel and shelter applications.
MaxSUN emerged as a result of a two years effort together with customer’s feedback and PQI’s LED lighting, solar lighting and solar energy experience. This achievement is a combination of PQI produced high-efficiency LED light engines, solar panels, batteries, and purposeful electronics.
