WiTec has rolled out an excitation-laser coupling device that facilitates convenient usage of the alpha500 and alpha300 microscope series. The unit switches between the numerous laser sources by rotating the combined filter wheel.
The laser beam path’s calibration and alignment is sustained for versatile and precise Raman imaging. Every excitation wavelength has a wavelength-optimized and high-quality filter set and allows high throughput. Experiments requiring a variety of lasers benefit from this multi-laser setup.
The laser coupling unit comprises laser wavelengths of 785, 633, 532, 488, and 355 nm. The company also offers other wavelengths on request. The device can be extended for polarization experiments and laser power measurements. To aid unblocked white-light microscopy, the device incorporates a four-position turret. It features three Raman filter sets, namely Raman edge filter, dichroic beam splitter, and filter assembly for every laser wavelength.
The laser coupling unit is compatible with the company’s microscopes and assures long-term stability. The beam splitters and wavelength optimized filters enable the device to deliver a high optical throughput. The lasers also prevent vibrational or thermal effects from altering the measurements.
