Plextronics, specialist in solar, display and other organic electronics, proclaimed that it has entered into a new distribution deal with Sanyo Chemical Industries.
As per the deal, Sanyo will supply certain Plexcore OC inks engineered exclusively for applications in the Japanese OLED lighting market. According to Fusayoshi Masuda, who serves as Executive Vice President and Representative Director at Sanyo Chemical, the company is engaged in creating new business segments and Plextronics’ new conductive polymer technology has attracted the company. Masuda continued that the distribution deal with Plextronics will form the basis for new business development.
The Vice President of Business Development at Plextronics, Jim Dietz stated that the distribution deal with Sanyo is significant for both firms. Sanyo is known for providing high performance and quality products in the Japanese market, he added.
Dietz further said that both Sanyo and Plextronics have worked together over the past few years and Sanyo proves to an ideal distribution partner for Plextronics in Japan. The deal would provide an opportunity to operate along with major OLED lighting producers to accelerate the implementation and commercialization of OLED technology.
