Carmanah Technologies proclaimed that it has supplied nearly $190,000 worth of EverGEN 1710 solar LED lights to illuminate a parking facility of a federal government agency. The parking lot is first facility to be lighted up with solar-powered LED lights.
The lighting project uses Advanced Occupancy Sensing (AOS) that senses the movement of people in the parking facility and provides the required optimum light output. Carmanah’s patent-pending technology, AOS controls a light network to provide the necessary illumination when one light in the network detects movement.
The AOS technology uses occupancy sensors, GPS and wireless mesh networking to offer synchronized operation in a network of EverGEN 1700 solar LED lights. The integration of AOS reduces the required number of lighting systems in a project and increases the light output of each system.
St. Louis Lighting, a lighting agent of Carmanah Technologies, recommended the EverGEN 1710 solar LED lights for the parking lot.
The Chief Executive Officer at Carmanah Technologies, Ted Lattimore stated that the reduced number of lighting systems decreases expenditures associated with installation and materials, resulting in wise business options for customers.
