Sofradir EC has launched a new Infrared Imaging Engine called the IRE-320S, which delivers exceptional infrared imaging with high quantum efficacy of more than 90% for SWIR (short-wave infrared) spectrum range of 0.75 to 2.5 µm.
The IRE-320S uses a Mercury Cadmium Telluride (MCT) infrared detector that is cooled thermo-electrically. It is compatible with an extensive range of SWIR imaging solutions to offer superior spectral performance and infrared imaging sensitivity.
The IRE-320S controls the entire performance of MCT 4-stage TE-cooled infrared detector called the Sofradir Mars SW. The versatile equipment can fulfill the requirements of any OEM application. Its complete frame rate can be modified between 1 and 200 Hz. The integration time can be managed independently for 3 µs to 20 ms.
The infrared imaging engine’s interface logic and connectivity are industry specifications with 14-bit digital data or PAL/NTSC video for corrected or uncorrected setup modes. A serial interface such as RS-232 is used for camera communication and 14-bit digital information can be transmitted through LVDS or Gigabit Ethernet and/or optional Camera Link.
The camera features an optional IRIG time stamp functionality as well as a C-mount for lenses and customizations of camera to fulfill various necessities. Sofradir EC also provides a range of command software modules and software developer toolkits to improve the flexibility of the IRE-320S.
