Tiger Optics, manufacturer of laser-based gas analyzers, has introduced a new moisture analyzer called HALO-500-H2O. The instrument is capable of measuring high levels of moisture in the range of 100, 200, 300 ppm or more.
The HALO-500-H2O is capable of determining the moisture levels in hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, oxygen, helium, clean dry air and the noble gases. The device has the capacity to achieve 90% of a reading within three minutes, even when exposed to ambient air and can check high-usage gases. The analyzer can also measure the moisture level in reclaimed gas cylinders. It can be used for monitoring moisture in air separation processes and for performing quality checks in “fill zones”.
Tiger Optics had developed the HALO-500-H2O, which was later sold to The Linde Group’s BOC, a major firm dealing in medical, special and industrial gases in Ireland and UK.
The HALO-500-H2O moisture analyzer uses continuous-wave (CW) cavity ring-down spectroscopy technology, like all other Tiger Optics products.
