Waters Rolls Out Mass Spectrometer with QuanTof Technology

Developer of spectroscopy solutions, Waters has rolled out a mass spectrometer that is ideal for scientists who are required to quantify and identify unknown compounds in complex science.

Xevo Spectrometer

The Xevo G2 Time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometer is based on QuanTof and UPLC/MSE technologies.

The Xevo G2 Tof spectrometer features SYNAPT G2 technology in a bench-top system and delivers high qualitative and quantitative performance. The QuanTof technology integrates a dual stage reflectron and high field pusher with an ion detection solution in a time-of-flight geometry. Water stated that all these features offer high-resolution and quantitative performance at acquisition rates, which are compatible with UPLC separations.

The Xevo G2 Tof spectrometer also features UPLC/MSE data acquisition technology that enables users to visualize high-quality exact mass precursor and fragment the ion data from one data set. The spectrometer’s ionization sources include atmospheric pressure gas chromatography, atmospheric solids analysis probe, atmospheric solids analysis probe, combined electrospray (ESI)/APCi, atmospheric chemical ionization (APCi), nanoflow ESI, and ESI.
