Pranalytica Demonstrates Multiple Wavelength Laser Systems at Photonics West Conference

Pranalytica, developer of quantum cascade lasers, has launched new wavelength laser systems that offer multiwatt of CW room temperature power output at two midwave infrared (MWIR) and one short wavelength infrared (SWIR) wavelength.

The three laser outputs are collimated and collinear and have enhanced beam quality, which is required for various homeland security and defense applications.

The MULTILUX -20-40-46-CW laser solution offers a continuous wave power output of over 1.2 W. It also offers a CW/RT power of more than 3 W at 2.1 micrometers. The collinearity between the laser outputs, combined with the high beam quality enables the lasers to deliver long-distant projections. Power output at each of the laser wavelengths can be controlled and modulated with pulse sequences.

The air-cooled laser head weighs less than 10 kg. The Pranalytica laser solution can offer a CW/RT power output of 2 W at 2.0-2.1 micrometers, CW/RT power output of 1.5 W at 4.0 micrometers, and a power output of 2 W at 4.6 micrometers depending on the requirements of the customer. The laser system can offer high-power laser radiation with any kind of wavelengths in the LWIR, MWIR, and SWIR regions. Pranalytica has demonstrated the laser solutions at the Photonics West Expo that was held in San Francisco.
