Tactical Flashlights Use Luminus SST-50 Big-Chip LEDs

LED-chip manufacturer, Luminus Devices announced that it is joining hands with various developers of tactical flashlights utilized by hunters, campers, rescue personnel, fire fighters, and by law enforcement agencies.

The company will collaborate with manufacturers such as Wolf-Eyes, Ultrafire, Trustfire, Thrunite, Olight, Microfire, Lemax, and JetBeam.

The tactical flashlights use Luminus’ SST-50 big-chip LEDs that are adopted by developers of lighting units. The big-chip Luminus LEDs are also suitable for outdoor area lighting, industrial lighting, high bay/low bay commercial lighting, PAR/ MR replacement lamps, residential and retail track lighting.

The SST-50 features an input power of 5 W and has energy efficiencies of more than 100 lm/W. It also has a L70 lumen maintenance time of 60,000 hr and color temperatures between 3000 K and 6500 K.

Luminus Devices’ President, Keith T.S. Ward stated that the big-chip LEDs offer flashlight manufacturer with a long-lasting solution that is suitable for products that are currently in design and research phase.
