Phoster Industries Completes LED Lighting Retrofit at Place Ville Marie, Montreal

LED light manufacturer, Phoster Industries has completed a LED lighting retrofit at a major commercial/retail property, called Place Ville Marie in Montreal.

The company retrofitted all 436 350-500 W incandescent light fixtures found in the lobby with 436 52 W PAR 64 LED lighting retrofit kits. With operations in North America, Phoster Industries offers quick product design, production and development services to the community, real estate trusts and national brand retailers.

Phoster Industries partnered with Hydro-Quebec, the government owned utility; Axxima, the maintenance management and energy company; and the SITQ (Société Immobilière Trans-Quebéc), to complete the project. The company’s LED retrofit solution generated 1.5 million kW of annual savings.

The LED retrofit offered energy savings of 90% and eliminated the issues associated with maintenance of lights. It operates at 75°C compared to the incandescent lights that operate at 270°C, thereby minimizing the HVAC usage and producing large costs savings of electricity.
