Consolidated Solar Technologies (CST) and SCHOTT Solar have opened a new PV solar power system at Rio Rancho High School in New Mexico. The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act offered grants to the school to develop the 50 kW solar power project.
The solar power plant, consisting of over 200 SCHOTT POLY solar modules, will provide energy savings of over $20,000 per annum for Rio Rancho high school. SCHOTT Solar opened a manufacturing plant in Albuquerque in 2009 and employs over 300 workers. The solar power plant was depsloyed by CST, a systems integrator with extensive experience in electrical design for large properties.
SCHOTT Solar’s President, Tom Hecht stated that the company is dedicated to developing a robust solar industry in Albuquerque. He added that the company is pleased to work with CST to provide cost-efficient solutions for schools in New Mexico.
CST’s Managing Director, Mike Mattioli commented that with the help of SCHOTT Solar, the company was able to develop the solar power system and deliver it before the scheduled time.
