GAO Introduces 5304 Fiber Optic Visual Light Source for CATV Applications

GAO Fiber Optics, provider of fiber-optic test devices, has introduced a new fiber-optic light source that offers an accurate testing solution for optical networks when it is utilized with the 5304 optical fiber power meter.

5024 Fiber Optic Visual Light Source

The 5024 fiber-optic visual light source is a cost-efficient solution for measuring the optical loss in fiber for maintaining and testing CATV and telecom applications.

The portable light source offers 1 to 6 wavelengths of stable output including 850/1300 nm wavelengths for the multimode fiber, 1310/1550 nm wavelengths for the single mode fiber, and a 650 nm visible red light. It functions at modulation frequencies and includes 2Hz and CW modulation output at 650 nm. The light source also includes modulation outputs of 2 kHz, 1 kHz, 270 Hz, and CW at other wavelengths.

The 5024 fiber-optic light source has a LCD screen, low battery power indication, auto-off function, one-touch switch operation, and highly stable output power. It also features a battery life of 45 hr.
