Alternative Vision Unveils Quest’s Condor 1000 MS5 Camera

US-based company, Alternative Vision has released Quest Innovations’ five-sensor multispectral camera. Alternative Vision is the North American distributor of Quest. The Condor 1000 MS5 camera is suitable for imaging applications that necessitate near-infrared (NIR) and visible band image capture.

The camera integrates five sensors on a single spectral separation prism covering the blue, green, and red bands. In addition, it includes two extra sensors to cover the NIR range. The MS5 camera supports optical fiber, GigE, Camera Link interfaces and supports a bandwidth of up to 210 MB/s, and frame rates of up to 150 fps.

The Condor 1000 MS5 supports several optional functions such as on-board processing, five multi-pixel co-processors and five 32-bit processors for applications that produce huge amount of data. In addition, the sensors can be separately controlled for settings including trigger input, region of interest, offset, gain, exposure, and synchronization.  The software and hardware platform of the MS5 is ideal for use in material surface inspection; agriculture and food inspection; and medical camera system applications.
