Luminus’ LEDs Illuminate NBC’s Popular TV Program, America’s Got Talent

Big-chip LED developer, Luminus Devices announced that the CBM-380-RGBW LEDs are illuminating the stage for NBC’s America’s Got Talent, a television program. The VARI*LITE VLX Wash Luminaires use seven CBM-380-RGBW LEDs positioned at the heart of the luminaire.

The VARI*LITE VLX Wash luminaires have an operating life of above 10,000 h and offer 14,000 lm of white light output. The big-chip Luminus LEDs facilitate new general lighting applications in lighting sectors including digital displays, industrial high-bay, residential, roadways, residential, retail, entertainment, and architectural.

Luminus Devices’ Director of Global Entertainment, Don McDaniel stated that the company is pleased with the joint efforts with Philips Vari-Lite to develop the light engine for the VARI*LITE VLX Wash luminaires. He added that the combination of big-chip LEDs and VLX Wash Luminaires offer beam control and color uniformity to lighting designers.
