PRIMA Industrie, manufacturer of laser cutting systems, has unveiled the LASERDYNE 430 laser system at the PRIMA AERODAYS workshop.
The aerospace workshop presented and demonstrated the latest material processing laser applications that is used for developing aircraft components. Latest multi-axis laser technology, including the improved version of the LASERDYNE 430 system, was demonstrated at the workshop.
The LASERDYNE 430 is an ideal tool for drilling, welding and cutting 2D and 3D components. It presently comes with a 4th rotary/circular axis. A 5th tilt axis will be commercially available from 2011.
The laser system functions at maximum speeds of 800” per min in the Z, Y and X axis. It has a bidirectional precision of 0.0005”, which is ideal for processing a diverse range of units, namely transition components, electronic assemblies and precision drilled fuel filters. The 0.0005” precision is present across the product’s 600x400x500 mm work envelope.
PRIMA’s President, Terry L. VanderWert stated that the LASERDYNE 430 system is offered as a turnkey solution with an option of industrial CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers. All LASERDYNE’s lasers are developed and tested to ISO 230 and ASME B 5 5.54 standards.
