Canadian Solar announced that it has activated a new 106 kW roof-mount photovoltaic (PV) solar electric solution at the Bancroft School in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The solar electric system, which will be installed on the McDonough Center, is the largest solar electric system in Worcester. The deployment includes the company’s 462 CS6P-230P polycrystalline modules, which will generate nearly 117,000 kWh every year.
The CS6P-230P polycrystalline modules will decrease carbon emissions by 88% every year. The Bancroft School anticipates the solar ssystem to address the electrical requirements by generating power to meet nearly 25% of the energy demands of the McDonough Center.
Future Solar Systems designed and financed the solar electric solution. The CS6P-230P polycrystalline modules are used for measuring the module energy generation and performance.
Canadian Solar’s VP of US Sales, Alan King, stated that the installation in the Bancroft school is a substantial investment in a state, which has high-quality solar policies.
