GAO Instruments has introduced a new handheld fiber-optic power meter for measuring relative loss and absolute optic power.
The A0670007 power meter is a suitable tool for CATV maintenance and telecommunication applications. It is also ideal for using in fiber optics test laboratories.
The optic power meter has an automatic calibration feature and offers a ±5% accuracy. The device operates at wavelengths of 1550, 1490, 1310, 1300, 980, and 850 nm. Its sturdy design makes it resistant to water and dust and is suitable for field applications.
The multi-functional optic power meter displays the optic power on a high-resolution LCD screen in dBm, dB, and mW values. The fiber-optic device can operate continuously for over 240 h using three 1.5 V batteries and consumes minimum power.
