MEN Micro Unveils DC2 Display Computer with Capacitive Touch Technology

Embedded computing solution provider, MEN Micro has released the DC2 panel display computer that integrates capacitive touch technology for a user-friendly human interface. The maintenance-free, fanless DC2 is suitable for industrial automation, mobile, and transportation applications.

The panel-mounted DC2 includes an Intel Atom 1.3 GHz XL Z520PT processor with a 2 GB microSD card and 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM, providing high memory and data throughput capabilities. The DC2 computer has a 10.4-inch 4:3 LCD TFT display with a standard resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, and screen sizes of at a maximum of 19". In addition, the computer is ideal for the use as information panels at a station or in a vehicle; agricultural machines; buses or train driver cabins.

The standard I/O of the DC2 computer includes two USB ports, and two Fast Ethernet ports, and four binary inputs through the 10-pin power supply connector. In addition, the Ethernet interfaces feature switch function for the Ethernet connection to the following intelligent displays, while a temperature sensor controls and examines the display.
