LASER COMPONENTS announced that it is manufacturing pulsed laser diodes (PLDs) in its Canadian plant. The company offers stacks, multi-junction PLDs, and single emitters at 1550 and 905 nm wavelengths.
The devices are ideal for laser curtains, security scanners, laser radar, speed measurement, and rangefinding applications.
The 905 nm series has an AlGaAs structure that provides improved temperature stability and high reliability. The stacks have 1 W/A efficiency rate and attains 120 W peak power at 150 ns pulse length. The multi-junction PLDs can attain more than 220 W peak power. The 1550 nm range PLDs are ideal for producing eye-safe rangefinders. They also come in stacks, multi-junction PLDs, and single elements with a maximum peak power of 50 W.
According to LASER COMPONENTS, the company continues to provide customer-specific solutions and combination of high cost/performance ratio and quality has set an industry benchmark for its products.
