IRIDEX Launches New Range of EndoProbe Laser Devices

Manufacturer of laser-based medical systems, IRIDEX, has announced that its new series of Adjustable & Intuitive EndoProbe laser devices are available for use in vitroretinal surgery.

The EndoProbe laser devices can be used with the company’s laser platforms. The laser devices accelerate treatments by enabling a continuous alteration of the optical fiber across various angles for comprehensive coverage of the retina.

The EndoProbe devices eliminate frequent alterations of laser power settings and also eliminate reinsertion and removal of the laser probe from the eye. The probe’s design enables surgeons to treat the retina from a distance at reduced power setting.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of IRIDEX, Theodore A. Boutacoff stated that the launch of the laser device under a new U.S. patent enables the company to strengthen its position as a leading player in the laser device market. He added that the EndoProbe laser devices will further enhance the value of its consumable instrument series. The company will continue to launch new products that will distinguish it from other competitors, he said.
